Icebreaker by Hannah Grace is a different kind of romance novel. Telling from the cover, it adds a refreshing air of sports and emotional depth between the two main characters Anastasia and Nathan. Anastasia is the main protagonist in this novel. She is a likable, socially awkward, figure skater just trying to qualify for ice skating nationals. Nathan on the other hand, is popular, well-liked, and the star hockey player.

Punk 57 is a teen romance novel. The book

takes us through the journey of two people

who were paired together in a pen pal project

in the 3rd grade and have been writing to

each other ever since then. What the catch?

They’ve never seen or met each other. One of

my favorite lines in the whole book is “we

were perfect together until we met,” I think

that this line is significant because it

symbolizes both Reyen and Mishas’ journey

throughout the book. The book is a wonderful

Red, White & Royal Blue is a story of the First Son of the United States (Alex Claremont Diaz) and the Prince of England (Prince Henry). They’ve been nemeses for as long as they can remember and when a picture blatantly displaying their dislike for one another surfaces and threatens national relations, Henry and Alex are forced to pretend to be friends. However, overtime their friendship turns into a romance that threatens the two countries and could impede the upcoming presidential election for Alex’s mother.

This novel is great for older teens looking to get into reading. The book I would say is not for anyone younger than high school ages. The book takes a different view on abusive relationships. It allows the reader to understand how it feels to be in a relationship like this and why one might stay in it. It creates a new perspective following Lily’s relationship with her new boyfriend Ryle. An ex of Lily’s comes in the picture challenging their relationship in many ways. The book is written wonderfully with so many surprising moments.
